Faans se Huis

Faans se Huis is a beautifully restored vintage cottage, once the home of Faans Samson and his beloved wife Rachel, who played an integral role in raising our children at Bucklands. They were the true heroes of our past, with a legacy woven into the fabric of the farm.

Primarily used as the Hikers’ House for guests on our hiking trails, Faans se Huis is also an ideal option for larger groups who want to stay close to each other. Located next to Freek se Huis, it comfortably accommodates up to eight people in three rooms, with a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. The toilet and shower facilities are conveniently located next to the veranda and are fully functional, providing an authentic, rustic experience.

The cottage includes braai facilities and is within walking distance to the Rondedak Barn, where you’ll find the relaxtion area, the Seekoei Gat splash pool and the option to enjoy pre-ordered meals.

Faans se Huis offers a perfect base for exploring the farm and enjoying the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.
